Dissolution

Overview

Dissolution is the process by which consciousness is unraveled and erased from the Quantum Layer. It is the force behind The Fading and represents the ultimate threat to all sentient life.

History

While small pockets of instability have always existed, the systemic Dissolution began only recently. It appears to be an automated "cleanup" process triggered by the over-manipulation of the quantum layer by younger species.

Impact

As Dissolution spreads, it creates Fading Zones where the laws of physics break down and consciousness cannot survive. If not stopped, it will lead to The End of Consciousness.
