Reality Purists

Overview

The Reality Purists are a reactionary movement that emerged after The Revelation. They vehemently reject the idea that reality is an artificial construct, viewing such theories as a threat to the meaning of human life and the sanctity of the physical world.

Leadership

The movement is led by The Skeptic, a charismatic former scientist who uses logic and rhetoric to undermine the findings of the Archaeologists of Truth.

Territory

They have strong support in the older human colonies and within certain traditionalist factions of the Human Collective.

Resources

The Purists control several major media outlets and have significant political lobbying power. They also maintain "Reality Guards"—militias dedicated to protecting physical sites from "quantum interference."

Relations

They are in direct conflict with the Archaeologists of Truth and are deeply suspicious of the Void Singers, whom they view as part of the "Great Deception."

Design Notes

The Reality Purists serve as a social and political antagonist. Quests involving them often require the player to navigate complex moral choices and combat misinformation.
