The Great Descent

The Great Descent refers to the historical migration of the Cliff-Dwellers from the plateau above down into the vertical crags of Mistcliff Reach.

The Legend

Legend says that the first settlers followed a trail of glowing teal moths that led them to the most stable leaks of The Seepage. They sought refuge from a great storm that ravaged the upper lands, finding safety in the wind-shadows of the cliff.

Significance

This event is celebrated annually with the "Festival of the First Wisp," where residents light lanterns and share stories of their ancestors' survival.
