Barnaby 'Barnacles' Thorne

Barnaby is a fixture of the lower docks, his skin tanned and weathered by years of salt-spray and minor arcane burns. He is one of the few who remembers Mistcliff Reach before the magic became "loud," and he views the current rush for power with a mix of profit-seeking pragmatism and deep-seated dread.

Personality

Gruff, superstitious, and surprisingly sentimental about the "old mists." He often talks to the fog as if it were a temperamental beast.

Design Notes

Barnaby serves as the tutorial NPC for the Mist-Dredging profession. His dialogue should be peppered with nautical slang and warnings about "the deep whispers."
